Delete Account

You can permanently delete your Sesame account at any time from within the app. Deletion is irreversible — all personal data is erased from our servers.

How to delete your account

1. Open Sesame and tap the Menu button.
2. Tap the Account button (shows your avatar and the word "Account").
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Account screen.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm when prompted. The deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

• Your profile information — name, email address, and phone number
• Your profile photo
• Your authentication record
• All private documents you uploaded
• Your membership from all shared properties

What is retained

• An anonymised record is kept solely for referential integrity (e.g. to preserve the history of shared property activity). This record contains no personally identifiable information.
• Property data you created remains visible to other members of those properties under your anonymised ID.

If you want to remove your property data before deleting your account, transfer ownership or remove yourself from each property first.
